Our Story

I remember as a little girl my Aunty May calling me “Ducky” and giving me a cup of tea. I didn’t realize it at the time, but my Aunty May was born in a time when afternoon tea was as important as our lunch hour is today. She was born around 1885. She lived to be 107 years old and was from Brighton England. She taught me how to make a “proper” cup of tea.
Growing up it was my job to make my dad his evening pot of tea. It was something I shared with him that I still think about. It didn’t matter what kind of day we had, or if I was a pouting teen, tea brought is together, washing away the trails of the day with warmth and comfort.
As an adult, I still loved my tea. It is a constant through the years that still brings me comfort and warmth.
